This amazing image welcomes you as you make the ascent to the Spirit Ridge Vineyard Resort & Spa

Right now, I’m sitting at Spirit Ridge Vineyard Resort & Spa in Osoyoos, BC, enjoying 4 weeks of rest and rejuvenation. I learned long ago to listen to my body, and it’s been telling me to get out of my usual environ, and just chill. We’ve been here 5 days now and I’m finally starting to feel the effects of this peaceful and serene setting. I therefore feel I’ve already achieved goal number one for 2015.

Here’s the list of goals I’ve set for myself for 2015:

1. To get more in tune with my spirit and let it guide me.

2. To continue to market my expertise as a chocolate writer and speaker.

3. To expand my network in the world of artisanal chocolate.

4. To establish chocolate travel as a new niche for women and lovers of fine chocolate.

5. To forge strategic partnerships that will enable me to achieve the above goals.

Those are the primary goals I have set for myself in 2015. With your help and support, I will achieve them.

Please like, share this post, and if you haven’t already, please subscribe to this blog and/or to my chocolate travel blog. Thanks!

And now, please share with me one of your goals for 2015, and how I can help you achieve it.

It is nice to know that you are relaxing. It is good to set some goals as it helps a lot to specify the direction of our efforts and life.

All the best with new year.

Hi Doreen – that spa sounds live heaven. When I retired from my job in 2001 due to health reasons, my retreat was here, right at home. My husband had set up a day-bed for me where I could watch the fire and mellow out. It took a long time before I felt even close to being rejuvenated, but the surroundings worked its magic and I finally felt my strength return. We all need that, just to give in and restore our soul and body. Great post.

    • Thx for sharing your thoughts, Lenie. Yes, I can usually rejuvenate myself at home, but as we are in the dead of winter right now in MB, I had to get away as I found last winter drained me beyond belief. I really hate winter, and it is only because of family obligations that I remain in MB – at least for the time being.

  3. Hi Doreen,

I think it’s absolutely fantastic that you and Reg (and Jimmy) are taking the time to relax and regroup. I’ve been trying to do a little of that myself since the first of the year. We’re both fortunate to be able to set our own pace and work hours of our choosing.

I haven’t set my goals yet this year. I am thinking strategically as to the direction that I want to take my blog this year. Meanwhile, I’m still working with my favorite clients (including you) and brainstorming new adventures with my husband (who took early retirement at the end of last year).

Enjoy your retreat! I’m confident that you’re in an environment that will really get your creative juices flowing.

    • Thx so much for your comment, Sherryl, and for all the encouragement you have given me over the part two years. It’s been quite the journey! I look forward to seeing how your own path of discovery will unfold as the year progresses.

  4. I admire your ability to set goals. I’ve always been reticent to do it myself. I am certainly discovering that having goals and writing them down is the best way to achieve what you want to achieve. If you don’t have a clear path you are just pushing through the weeds.

    • Hi Suzanne and thanks for your comment. Yes, I’m learning that we really DO need to write down our goals in order to help us forge forward and achieve them. I didn’t totally achieve my primary goal for 2014 , which was to appear on a national TV program, but I did appear on a regional program of a national network, so maybe I have to learn to more clearly express and articulate my goals! Best of luck with yours.

  6. Wow, four weeks at a spa? Sweet. You should be all rested up and ready to go for a full year of travel and excitement for 2015 after that. I am a wee bit jealous, I must say. Good for you. Enjoy!

    • Hi Susan. You would love Spirit Ridge. The spa and resto are great, but so is the wine produced by the on-site Nk’Mip vineyard. With all that and the delicious scenery, I am sure I will be rejuvenated before heading back to MB.

    Hi Doreen:
Thanks for sharing a very impressive list of goals. I think goals are much better than reosolutions that tend to be very specific and you can get very discouraged if you “fall off the wagon.” I appreciate your offer to help and that is so important. I know I belong to a Mastermind group and having people of the same mind set celebrating successes as well as helping with problems really helps. Have a successful 2015 and may all your goals be achieved.

Great way to re-focus at the start of a new year after what appeared a pretty hectic 2014!

Hopefully we can help you achieve a few, if not all of them 🙂
