Chocolatour is a Readers’ Favorite Finalist!

Such amazing news came through tonight that I just had to share!

readers favorite awards

Chocolatour has been named a finalist in the Readers’ Favourite 2014 book awards in four categories:

  • Non-fiction, Cooking & Food
  • Non-fiction, General
  • Non-fiction, Memoir
  • Non-fiction, Travel

There was a 50% increase in the number of entries this year, with some categories having as many as 300 entries, so to be selected as a finalist in one category would have been wonderful. But to have been selected a finalist in each of the four categories that were suitable for my book is beyond comprehension.

The winners will be announced on September 1st, with the awards ceremony being held in Miami on November 22nd to coincide with the Miami Book Festival .

Here is a link to the 2015 Readers’ Favorite Awards for anyone who has a book they’d like to enter.  Best wishes to all, and please send your good vibes my way so that Chocolatour is a winner on September 1, 2014.

UPDATE: CHOCOLATOUR DID WIN A BRONZE AWARD IN THE 2014 READERS’ FAVOURITE INTERNATIONAL BOOK AWARDS. YAY! See this post for details.

    1. Thanks so much, Bill. I’m really proud of that achievement, too. Just 5 more weeks and I (hopefully) will be declared a winner. then … it’s on to MIAMI!

    1. Thanks so much, Pat. I know. I couldn’t believe my eyes are I continued to scroll down the list of finalists and saw my name appear in each of the categories I had entered. They will select which of those they will ultimately put me in as the judging moves forward and we move into the winner’s circle (I hope!)

    1. I am indeed proud, Susan. And shocked! Here’s hoping it will translate into at least one win, and some good publicity for my book. Cheers, and thanks again for your friendship and support. 🙂

    1. Thx so much, Susan. It’s sure been a lot of hard work, but I’m beginning to see the fruits of my labour! Here’s hoping the positive movement continues …
