chocolate inspired art
Please join us February 14th at Selkirk Golf & Country Club as the WAVE Interlake Artists Group will be displaying pieces of original art that have been inspired by the beauty and sensuality of chocolate. You may be surprised at the creativity you will see in this chocolate inspired art show.
I will be there with signed copies of Chocolatour: A Quest for the World’s Best Chocolate for your favourite Valentine. And Constance Popp Chocolatier of Winnipeg will be offering up some of her delicious handmade truffles to satisfy your chocolate cravings.
The chef at the Selkirk Golf & Country Club will be preparing a special Valentine menu, including a sumptuous chocolate offering for dessert. Dinner will be served between 4-9 pm. The chocolate inspired art will be available for viewing and purchase from 9 am until 9 pm.
We hope you’ll join us in celebrating creativity inspired by chocolate.
Awesome. Love the art!
It does sound wonderful! I adore chocolate. I am farther west in Canada (BC) 🙂
Very cool Christy. Would love to have had you join us. Hopefully, I will be doing a Chocolatour event in Vancouver sometime soon. You have a lot of great chocolatiers out there! Thx for dropping in to say hello. Subscribe so you don’t miss any announcements.
Found you in the comments of Catarina’s World. I have a question you might have the expertise to answer. A friend is trying to start a business exporting raw chocolate from Ecuador– any advice?
Winter: Alberta right now is recovering from a high speed Chinook that blew down towers everywhere and turned the world into a skating rink. (Sylvan Lake’s skating rink collapsed and so did several dairy barns) This after 30 below with a windchill you are certainly familiar with. The wife and I are waiting for our plane to come in. March 1st.
Hello David: Regarding exporting raw cocoa/chocolate from Ecuador, I’d suggest your friend get in touch with Elizabeth Hendley, a Canadian living in Ecuador and growing cacao. You can reach her via her tourist lodge’s site at http://www.ecuadorjunglechocolate.com/.
Enjoy your trip!
Thanks, Susan. I know you would enjoy it. Hopefully, at some point we will again be able to share some fine wine and chocolate. Cheers!
I would love to go, but alas, time and distance are my enemy… Sigh!
