Chocolatour has launched!
I’m happy to say that we launched Chocolatour: A Quest for the World’s Best Chocolate at the beautiful riverside Evergreen Gate B&B in St. Andrews, Manitoba on July 18, 2013. It was a lovely evening of chocolate, wine, and fellowship.
Thanks to everyone who came out for the event, and especially to Laurel and Rob Sarginson, who so graciously hosted the chocolate lovers who gathered to buy the book.
Congrats to friend and local author, Shelley Penziwol, who won the box of Roselen Chocolates from I brought back fro Peru the week before.
The second launch will be on July 25th, at the Ponemah Arts Centre in Dunnottar, Manitoba. Looking forward to another great evening of chocolate exploration hosted by Betty Jackson and Bruce Smith.
And we’re already gearing up for the third event, to be held at the Caboto Centre in Winnipeg. It will be a wine and chocolate evening hosted by the Worldly Women Travel Club. Thanks to Journeys Travel for sponsoring this event. We hope you will join us if you live in the Winnipeg area. I’ll have copies of Chocolatour on hand for sale, and will giving a talk about the joys of chocolate travel.
If you can’t make it to the event, you can order the book via this site. I will personally autograph every book. Thanks for joining in on the excitement of the launch of Chocolatour. It has been four years in the making!
Doreen, congratulations on your book launch! I finished reading my copy of your book this morning. It was truly awesome and has got me eating much more chocolate than usual as a result. I must say though, I read all ingredient labels on all chocolates, as I won’t eat Soy Lecithin, which is GMO. I go for organic, all the way! 🙂
Thanks for the positive review, Esther.
Yes, organic chocolate is definitely the way to go. That’s why I love the Peruvian chocolate so much. Almost all the cocoa grown in Peru os organic and the result is a chocolate like no other.
Congratulations on the launch of you new book, it looks like a great read!
Dodi
Thanks very much, Dodi! I’d love to try your chocolate as I am coming to your region in late Sept. If you can send me a sampling, I’d love to try it.
Hello Doreen, I received my book last week and am really enjoying it; thanks! Every time I have a coffee (and chocolate) break, I dip into it and discover new chocolate facts and places. With best wishes, Roy.
Thanks, Roy! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the book. Perhaps a review on your blog?
Doreen — Congratulations! Wonderful accomplishment. I’ve downloaded the e-book and can’t wait to read through it. Hope you sell lots of copies and have fun at the book signings.
Thanks so much for your support, Jeannette. I hope you enjoy the book!
WOW! The book is finally getting out there. I am so proud of you for following this dream with such passion. I cannot wait to get my copy. If you are going to be heading to Toronto, Montreal, or Ottawa, I’ll wait and get one from you in person. Otherwise I’ll order online.
You are such an inspiration, Doreen, and I wish you every success that you so richly deserve with this book!
Cheers my friend,
Christine
