Chocolatour at the Hawaii Chocolate Festival

It was fun being a speaker at the 2014 Hawaii Chocolate Festival. They have a huge venue at the Dole Cannery in Honolulu, with a good assortment of exhibitors including cacao growers, chocolate makers, chocolatiers, candy makers, and companies who make soaps from cacao, liquor infused with cocoa, and of course, an author promoting her book about the best chocolate of the world (that would be me!)

Here are a few photos to whet your appetite to the idea of travelling to some of the intriguing chocolate events I have listed in Chapter 11 of Chocolatour (volume I.) You’ll find the Hawaii Chocolate Festival listed on page 125. Look for a chapter on Hawaii and other top US chocolate destinations in volume II of Chocolatour: A Quest for the World’s Best Chocolate Adventures.

Thanks so much, Suzanne. I’m so glad you enjoyed the book, and that you were able to be at the Hawaii Chocolate Festival to join in on our discussion of chocolate travel. It’s a tasty world out there, and my job is to help chocolate lovers find the chocolate they will most like, and that is also good for them. Cheers!

  3. Doreen ‘ s talk ended up being one of the highlights of the Chocolate Festival for me. I wasn’t sure if an hour long talk about chocolate would be interesting, but she is a master at sharing her enthusiasm for the subject and the substance. http://www.boomeresque.com/the-hawaii-chocolate-festival-educational-and-yum/

Thanks, Susan. Chocolate events are always a lot of fun, but I really enjoyed the Hawaii Chocolate Fest because of the exotic feel to it. How I would LOVE to go back for the Big Island Chocolate Festival in May!

  6. This looks like it was a great deal of fun, Doreen. I think I would have gone into a chocolate coma after indulging in all the great chocolate items. It would be worth it though… LOL.
